Safe Guarding Committee

Safe Guarding Committee

The role of The Safe Guarding Committee is to promote safe practice in all parish related activities involving children, young people and vulnerable adults.

This is a shared responsibility between priests and laity.

The Safe Guarding Committee was established in March 2006 and presently consists of four members –  (Right to left)  R-L Joan Mc Keever (Chair), Gerry Heery, Theo Raykoske, Fr Colm Mc Bride.

The main role of The Safe Guarding Committee is to identify those volunteers who, because of their particular role in the parish, are required to be vetted and complete the Diocesan Safe Guarding training programme.

The Safe Guarding Committee appreciates the forbearance of volunteers in complying with this process.

The laity needs to be involved in ensuring that we all do what has to be done.

If you have any concerns about the protection of children and/or vulnerable adults within the parish please contact any member of the Safe Guarding Committee.
