Lent Living Church

Lectio Divina for Lent

Lent is a time when we undertake commitments of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. This Lent we invite you to join us to pray, share and reflect on the Sunday readings during the 6 weeks of Lent. The practice of Lectio Divina as a group is a wonderful opportunity to place the Word of God at the centre of our prayer and spiritual life as we strive to deepen our relationship with Christ and each other. The program will be delivered via zoom and facilitated by Aishling Steen from the Living Church Office. Beginning on Thursday 23rd February 12-12:50pm.

To book your place please contact the Living Church Office at livingchurch@downandconnor.org or phone 02890690920.

NO GREATER LOVE

Lent is a season of reflection and preparation as we look forward to the celebration of Easter. In a series of short films shot on location in the Holy land, No Greater Love is a biblical pilgrimage that reveals Christ’s amazing love for us. Best-selling author, Edward Sri, will guides us through the final hours of Christ’s life. Over 5 weeks we are given the opportunity to walk step by step with Jesus through the Scriptures from the Garden of Gethsemane to Mount Calvary. At each session there will be the opportunity to meet others from across the Diocese to pray, share and reflect together.

There are 2 sessions to choose from

(1) Online via zoom beginning Monday 27th February for 5 weeks @7pm

(2) Venue: Tobar Mhuire Monastery and Retreat Centre, Crossgar beginning Thursday 2nd March @10am.
